About This Exhibition

This exhibition presents a collection of works by the artist WEI. The paintings explore the intersection of memory, imagination and transformation.

Through layers of colour and form, the works create a space in which the boundaries between figure and landscape, presence and absence, are constantly shifting.

The exhibition invites viewers to experience painting as a living process—not fixed, but continually changing, much like the emotions and impressions it evokes.

Prices range from DKK 3,000 to DKK 28,000. Private viewings are available in Aarhus by appointment. Please contact us for prices, availability and further information.

Denne udstilling præsenterer en samling værker af kunstneren WEI. Malerierne undersøger mødet mellem erindring, fantasi og forvandling.

Gennem lag af farve og form åbnes et rum, hvor grænserne mellem figur og landskab, nærvær og fravær hele tiden forskydes.

Udstillingen inviterer beskueren til at opleve maleriet som en levende proces—ikke fastlåst, men i konstant bevægelse, ligesom de følelser og indtryk, værkerne vækker.

WEI

WEI is a contemporary artist based in Denmark whose paintings explore memory, identity, imagination and the changing meaning of homeland.

Through expressive colour, layered forms and shifting relationships between figures and landscapes, his work creates spaces where personal memories meet imagined environments.

His paintings invite viewers to move between familiarity and uncertainty, presence and absence, and the places we remember and recreate in our minds.

Kunstneren

WEI er en samtidskunstner bosat i Danmark. Hans malerier undersøger erindring, identitet, fantasi og hjemlandets skiftende betydning.

Gennem ekspressive farver, lagdelte former og skiftende relationer mellem figurer og landskaber skaber hans værker rum, hvor personlige minder møder forestillede omgivelser.
